Heston - Its A House Thing EP [DEFECT003]

Domino Effect has firmly established itself as one of the most exciting new labels of 2013, and we think no release says it more than our final instalment of the year. This Stompin' EP comes from Heston, with incredible remixes from both Hauswerks, Him Self Her & Andy Lee.

From the hypnotising bass of Heston's original 'House Thing' the EP delves into to the darker garage-tech remix crafted by Him Self Her, followed up by another stunning house lick 'Get Down' where the underlying bass rhythms take you on a journey into the elusive world of Domino. The release comes to a close with Hauswerks' & Andy Lee's magnificent reworks, whether you prefer the awesome electro-tech stabs or the riding organs, we finish it up on an energetic high. Epic beats.

  3. Heston – Get Down (Andy Lee Remix)

Heston - Downlow EP (LNM036) [Exclusive]

For Love Not Money's 37th release they welcome onboard ‘Heston’, the brainchild and alter ego of Toolroom Records & Noir music artist 'Chris Special'.
On offer is two heavy hitting originals 'Downlow' & 'These Catz', both delivering bags of drive and energy, capable of giving any underground dance-floor a good workout. With both tracks fusing together elements of Deep House, Tech & Nu-Disco while adopting subtle Balearic tones in the breakdowns leads to a somewhat fresh approach among todays vastly saturated music market.
On remix duties Love Not Money bring onboard UK wonder kid Bontan, following his recent Beatport onslaught, spending a month at the Deep House No.1 spot and his recent remix of Underworld's 'Downpipe' on Toolroom firing up the charts he continues his reign delivering a stripped back bass line workout bringing groove and bounce to lead track 'Downlow'.
Other remixes come from 'Inner Rebels', a relatively new production duo made up of previous Love Not Money signings Manos & Rafael Cerato. Their remix of 'Downlow' takes a slightly more late-night, low-slung approach, dropping the tempo and bringing the dark undertones to the EP.
Rounding off the release is long serving Love Not Money artist Matt Fear who once again demonstrates a talent that's earned him a multitude of fans the world over. His remix of 'These Catz' express's the ease in which Matt approach's a remix assignment and his ability to re-invent a track in his unique signature style and thus completing one of the strongest Love Not Money releases to date.

Amine Edge & DANCE - 'They Call Me Jack' (LNM034)

Next up on Love Not Money we are honoured to welcome onboard two pioneers of the popular 'G House' sound, Amine Edge & DANCE who follow suite and turn out another dance floor weapon with their latest single 'The Call Me Jack'.

With hit tracks "Halfway Crooks" & "Going to Heaven With The Goodie-Goodies" under their belts and a string of releases and remixes on labels such as 2DIY4, Exploited, & Noir, it's easy to see why their explosive style that combines the big bass of Funk and inspirations of the late '80s Hip-House has won them a life of constant touring and a huge fan base the world over.

On remix duties we bring you two more heavyweights in the form of Tapesh & Dayne S. Tapesh in his own right is a global superstar with an extensive career that has seen him release on every decent label worth mentioning, Defected, Suara, Get Physical, the list goes on, but it was their track 'Dont You Know' on Noir that exposed the two as a formidable production pair. They've since gone on to write a string of successful tracks together and show no sign of slowing down.

Further remixes from Rolldabeetz, Chicks Luv Us & Medeew complete a landmark release for Love Not Money that crosses genres and caters for an array of dancefloors.

Dene Antony - Peace & Harmony EP (LNM033)

Next up on Love Not Money is an EP from hot property Dene Antony, a young Leeds based producer who's Garage influenced House sounds have won over a multitude of fans the world over.
Another artist introduced to the label through the 'New Love' compilations, it was his track 'Peace & Harmony' that stood out a country mile and was one of the most acclaimed tracks from volume 3 in the series that pushes promising new talent from around the globe.

Now he lands back on the label with this huge 5 tracker. The raw combination of prime time jacking grooves, heavy basslines, classic house sounds and vintage vocal sample's demonstrates why he's being heralded as one of the scene's most promising young artist's in this bass driven sound.

On remix duties Love Not Money welcome back early signing Kezla. Since originally signing with the label last year he's gone on to release and remix for an array of credible imprints including Hector Couto's Pura Music. His tough House sounds compliment this EP nicely and heralds a long overdue return to Love Not Money in style.

Real Nice - Cocktail Skies (LNM031)

The Real Nice lads have been a part of Love Not Money since the very beginning with their killer collaboration 'Had Enough' alongside fellow Oxford duo Cubiq. The track went on to hit the dizzy heights of No.2 in Beatport's Nu-Disco chart and was featured on Pete Tongs essential selection, not forgetting plays from the likes of Solomun & Art Department to name but a few. They then followed it up with hit single 'Oooo!' which had equal success again entering the charts highly...

Now they're back and kicking off the festival season with their latest single 'Cocktail Skies'. Serving up a sublime slice of Nu Disco with stacks of attitude. A spacey rhodes synth swirl's and cascade's in and around the drops paving the way for the unforgettable melodic piano riff that will be echoing across parties worldwide throughout the summer months!

S. Jay & Friends - Lucky EP (LNM028)

Love Not Money makes another stop on its talent-scouting trip, inviting another young Leeds based producer S. Jay to join the label's ever-growing motley crew with a little help from his friends Sweet Beat & Ostertag.

The EP starts off with 'I Got You' taking us straight into a prime time jacking session. The raw combination of a moody bassline, classic house sounds and a vocal loop offset by energetic percussion kick's off the EP from the get-go.

Next up is 'Lucky', a collaboration with Ostertag. Another fine example of bass infused House. A catchy sub bass groove underpinned with mellow stabs make this a hypnotic peak-time selection... cue the classic Organ on the second drop and you've got another track ready to raise the roof.

On the flip side is 'Back In NY' a dance floor destroyer with a loving nod to the early 90s, old school chords, tightly programmed drums, hooky 90s vocals and atmospheric sounds of the busy Harlem suburbs. Rounding of the EP S. Jay teams up with long-time production partner on alias project Sweet Beat to turn out 'No Problem', a more anthemic stripped back track centred around a mesmerising hypnotic synth-line that drops into a Tom driven affair; the perfect antidote to the big-beat club tracks of the EP's predecessors.

Denney & Guthrie - Turn My Back (LNM025)

Love Not Money pushes on again here with a new single and thier first Vinyl release, ‘Turn My Back’ from Hot Creations talent Denney alongside Guthrie, complete with three killer remixes by men of the moment Robert James, Tim Weeks and new discovery Electricano.

Denney has been fast on the rise in recent times with killer singles like his ‘Ultraviolet’ lighting up dancefloors everywhere and getting much praise from people like MANDY and Seth Troxler, whilst as a DJ he has played Shindig, Back to Basics and Sankeys, impressing each and every time.

The original track is a fat wedge of house with snappy snares and tinkling cowbells thudding along below a cooing female voice. It all turns techno at the mid point with acid wig outs and the r&b vocal suddenly sounds familiar… a floor filling bomb and no mistake.

Hot Creations man Robert James takes the remix in his usually inimitable style, stripping it back to a gaunt tech house beat that’s eerie and mysterious with more than a hint of the old school about it. The snaking bassline draws you right in where new label discovery Electricano goes larger for his remix. The bassline here whips about below a well-chopped vocal as some ghostly synth sounds flash in the spaces all around.

Finally, Tim Weeks’ FM bassline is all consuming as it roams free beneath wooden sounding hits and sandy shakers. It’s one to take you down deep into the late night hours in some cosy backroom, for sure, and closes out another fine EP from Love Not Money.

Electricano - 'Some Love EP' - LNM024

With an influx of people delving into the world of music production it's very rare these days that someone instantly grabs your attention, but when a demo from Electricano dropped in LNM's inbox theyre were literally blown away at the sheer talent and production quality coming from a producer they knew very little about.
With an ability to make music that spans across an array of styles they only saw it fit to introduce him to the label in the form of a 5 track EP that demonstrates this skill perfectly.
Across the 5 tracks there's a balance that caters for every dance-floor, from warm-up, to peak-time, to vibes that take you down deep into the late night hours tucked away in some cosy back room.
With lots already in the pipe-line for 2013 they're confident they've hit the ground running with this one... Enough from us, let the music do the the talking.
