Nation House - Commedia dell'Harte (LCNH002 | 02-2016
"La Chinerie" may sound like unknown to your ears but here, in Western Europe, it's well known as,at the same time, an active social community on Facebook (focusing on digging musical nuggets), a semi-pro label with multiple ramifications (House, Techno, Rap, etc.) and a participative platform (essentially for producing content and organizing events in France).
After a first Nation House release called « Chalutier Du Havre » focused on young talents from all over France (ed.: we highly recommend you this EP as it contains some heavy and groovy tracks), la Chinerie is back with a new Nation House release, "Commedia dell'Harte". This time, let's go to Italy! This EP highligh House scene through an eclectic V/A gathering 8 tracks from 8 talented macaronis.
As you can hear with the preview on Soundcloud, it sounds intense (check Bassa Clan "Notte Brava" track) as old-school (such the Christian Lisco "55" track). Each track is unique. No doubts, this EP will soon be our. Highly recommended!

Strandtuch - Copa EP (F*CLR FCLR003 | 2016-12-16)
Hailing from Paris, the 20 year old Strandtuch is studying Art in London whilst continuing with his production and DJing duties. Starting 3 years ago using Ableton Live, a couple of plug-ins plus an Akai MPK MINI, Strandtuch is now beginning to move into analog production - a few little synths here and a Roland MC 303 there. The results can be heard on his debut ‘COPA’ EP, which draws influences from Funk, Hip-Hop as well as Old & NuSkool House & Techno.
The title track ‘COPA’ leads you into an EP that is full of surprises - subtle changes of direction starting with wonderfully dark and warm repetitive riffs that embed themselves into your psyche. Showing a great understanding of past musical eras, ‘Detroit 84’ with its simple but soulful vocal gives a nod towards the halcyon days of Detroit House and Techno with house legened, Ashley Beedle on remix duties for the vocal and beats versions. ‘Curlz’ ups the tempo and the result is a track with an incessant 4/4 beat with some jazzy riffs thrown in for good measure and closes Strandtuch’s EP in style. Listen and enjoy.
